In 1797 it was announced that the Burying Ground was now open for business. In 1828 the cemetery was enlarged. The Glenravel Local History Project has carried tremendous work over the years to make the cemetery and its history accessible to everyone. Information stones are in place throughout the cemetery giving information on the history of the cemetery, on bodysnatching and on famous people buried there.
