Deansgrange Cemetery opened in 1865 and there are approximately 120,000 people buried there. The cemetery is under the control of Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council. There are quite a few famous people buried here and these include Count John McCormack, Frank O'Connor, Flann O'Brien, Sean Lemass, John A Costello and Kathleen Lynn.
