Milltown Cemetery is the Catholic cemetery for Belfast and was opened in 1872. The history of Belfast can be found in the graves within the cemetery. It holds the bodies of the McMahon family, Joe Devlin and three hunger strikers including Bobby Sands. It was here that mourners were attacked and killed during the funeral of the Gibraltar Three.
